D.H.Lawrence,Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu set their eyes on the fact that human beings are also one form of being
in Nature. In the culture and society where human beings are the centre of the world, they have to reconsider
established humanity and morals. The inhuman and impersonal aspects of D.H.Lawrence’s literature and the
heartless elements of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu resulted from this attitude of theirs. In the core of a man,Lawrence
finally found the magnetic pole which makes his life really his own. The magnetic pole polarizes with other magnetic
poles in Nature and magnetic forces flow between them. The sun, the moon and the earth are huge magnetic poles
and every creature has its magnetic pole in its centre. Even a rock has its own. Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu found Tao:
the natural flow in which everything in Nature occurs, develops, changes and disappears. When they realized the
existence of Tao,they understood that human beings are also the end of Tao.Infinite, abundant life-world in Nature
opened to D.H.Lawrence when he caught the magnetic pole and to Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu when they woke up to
Tao. |
