An Examination of the Resonance between D.H.Lawrence and
Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu

Abstract
There is some resonance between D.H.Lawrence’s philosophy and that of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu.Both of them
stem from Nature.D.H.Lawrence tells us that the universe is breathing and flowing just like a beating heart and that
everything in Nature flows in itself. This idea resonates with the philosophy of Tao in Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu.
